One more post on travelling. Standing in the long queue so airport security can go through my bag, get a good look at my socks, disinterestedly summon me through the metal detector, and chastise me for not putting my contact lens solution in the mandatory 1 quart gag, there are several types of signs. Most of them inform you about all your liquids and taking your laptop out of the case. But one was just great.
"Thank you for participating in Security."
Chicago Midway, Omaha Epply...you are welcome. It was a pleasure to participate in your security. The FAA, the NSA...you do them proud. Keep up the good work. Never trust that the stuff in the baby's bottle is milk, never believe the elderly guy with the fake "pacemaker," and never NEVER let anyone beyond the first gateway without giving their ID 4-5 once-overs.
Your blogs about traveling are great...you have the right attitude! How about the people who are oblivious when it comes to modern day travel...wearing shoes that take 15 minutes to untie and tie, or carry a load of junk in their pockets. At least you went through Midway...and avoided all those friendly and helpful people at O'Hare!!
